Engine builders or rebuilder questions

I have an engine that I suspect is mixing oil in coolant via a crack in the block. I have a hairline crack that seeps coolant and I think it goes into the oil jacket as well. When the motor warms up it is expanding and mixing all of it thusly I have oil in my coolant tank. Rebuilt the top end in September and I double checked the compression yesterday, still all good.

My question is there any tests I can perform to verify my suspicion before I tear the engine out and swap over a short block?

That sucks Dom!:( I had a Subaru with the same problem, I never found a way to fix the problem, so a swap was necessary.
