Finally made some poppers, and did a pork tenderloin. Both turned out amazing of course.

I need to smoke pork ribs. Where have you generally bought them?

I know about the 123 method. Is that still generally the accepted and proper way to smoke them?

Smiths has Baby backs for $1.99/pound at the moment, I picked up a couple racks a couple days ago.

I'd say the 3-2-1 is a great beginners method to cook them. Personally, I like my ribs naked, so I use a varied, but very similar cooking technique. They always come out perfect.

I've got some ribs to try Sunday as well. We'll see how it goes. I'm going to try this recipe but need to stop at bbq pit stop for a couple supplies first.

I'm thinking apple pellets for these ribs, is that a good choice?

I used Apple pellets and they were a great flavor for pork ribs.

I bought some "Bean Buddy" from plowboys while at the pit stop. They had been out the few other times I had looked for it so I got 2 bottles. I guess I need to try and find beans now which might be tricky.

They didn't have the mustard from the recipe I linked so I'll just use regular. I'm also going to use killer hogs the BBQ sauce instead of what was listed too.

Hopefully they are edible. I've got only one rack and am only feeding me and my wife and son so it should be pretty low risk I guess.

I was at reams yesterday afternoon picking up a couple things and there was a rack in the fridge so I got it and am doing 2 now. The little bits of rib on the sides are going to get chopped and dumped in the beans. I can't imagine these beans will be half as good as the ones from sugar house bbq but I hope so. The meat was on an hour for this shot which is when the beans went in.
