exhaust pipe on 22re

I'm putting a header and pipe and muffler on my truck what size of exhaust pipe should I use? I have 12 feet of 2 inch I got for free would this work fine? Isn't stock 1 and 3/4? Let me know asap thanks guys

I run 2 1/2 on mine.
2 would be better than 1 3/4.
But with a header you want it to breath or why put a header on at all.
Run as big as you can off the header for best results.

Mine had 2 1/2 when I bought it, I've since gone down to 2 1/4. It seemed to run better with the 2 1/4.

I run a easy flowing cat and a Flowmaster muffler as well. Lite rumble to it but quite enough at 5:00 am to pull out of the driveway without waking anyone.

2 inch is good enough. It's just a little 2.4. If you go too big it can actually hurt performance. You need to have velocity in the system as well.

run 2 1/4 thats what i have always run, perfect mix of performance and back pressure, up to you what muffler and i like to make as few of bend in it as can be done.

For the recored I ran 2 1/4" and loved it on my old truck...
