I believe that year of Expedition also has a 8.8 in the rear. Granted it has the bigger wheal bearings, but it's still an 8.8. I'm pretty big on 8.8's, but I don't think so in this application. This is the same 8.8 I use for my TJ swaps. Around 2000.5 they switched to 10.25's.
My 98 has a 8.8 reverse cut front and a 9.75 in the rear... and it came from the factory like that... I do beleive that some expeditions came with a 10.25 sterling like the F250 had but have yet to see one...
