I know there's several guys on the board that have mountain bikes but aren't posting up for rides because they think they aren't in shape enough. I propose a semi-regular ride, open to everybody of course but specifically friendly to those of us that aren't in awesome shape and don't want to attach themselves to other rides for fear of holding everybody back.

Next Saturday or Sunday morning work for anybody?

Wish there was something down south. I used to ride a lot and don't anymore because I'm so out of shape. I need to break the bike out.

How far south? I need to get back to St George, the riding on Gooseberry Mesa is fantastic.

Last time I tried Corner Canyon it kicked my butt and I didn't make it up. I'm gonna try again this Sunday morning, I'll be at the parking above the equestrian center around 9 I think. Anybody is welcome to join me, I can almost guarantee that you'll be in better shape than I am. :)

Try the parking lot above the temple. That way the ride up isn't so boring from the equestrian center. Try riding up BST to Potato hill trail then to Ann's Trail. That is a fun way to the top that is not so hard. Or try Maple Hollow. Both good trails. Just don't do Clarks! It will kick your butt!

x2, or park at Potato Hill parking lot partway up traverse mtn.

Or try Maple Hollow.

I don't know what your skills are, but Maple Hollow is a handful if you haven't been riding for very long. There are multiple sections of 3-4 feet that are almost straight down, and you've got to be on your toes to not crash. That being said, who wants to run Maple Hollow? :D

I think I'll try it from the equestrian center this time just to compare where I'm at vs. last time I was up there, but thanks for the tip!

Rode Corner Canyon this morning with a buddy from work. We ended up taking YOUKNOWs advice and started from Coyote Hollow and went up Potato Hill to Ann's Trail. We intended to come down Rush, but I bonked on Ann's. I looked across the gulley and thought I saw another set of switchbacks to go and just lost all motivation, but now that I look at the map I think we were looking at Clarks. Oh well, will get it next time.

Coming down was fun though, here's video of part of it. I didn't edit it, skip to :38, and then 3:53 after I pause to put my helmet on (oops)...
