Stevie Ray Vaughan doing a cover of Hendrix Third Stone From The Sun.

It looks like chaos and mayhem. And it is. But, if you are familiar with the original Jimi studio version, to pull off such a remarkably accurate reproduction of the original, live, in such a violent fashion, it's just astounding.

There have been countless Hendrix covers. And a lot of them are dang good. But the only two people I can think of that could pull off Third Stone, live, like that, are SRV and Kenny Wayne Shephard. But I don't think KWS ever went nuts on his favorite guitar on stage like that.

Might be worth noting - that was filmed in 1983. The drummer, Chris Layton, plays in Kenny Wayne's band today almost 40 years later. Not a flashy drummer, very economical, but super solid. Holds up his end and doesn't try to do anything more and does it amazingly well.
