Anyone else have trouble with fed ex? I have had parts sitting for almost 2 weeks in NJ. There tracking only updates every couple of days. Not my first option for shipping.

I use FedEx almost daily at work, and never really have any problems.

I know with any of our vendors at work that ship from the east coast they are telling us 5 days in 5 days out. A co-workers flight was canceled out of Boston. They told him 4-5 days for a new flight and since weather is an act of god they aren't obligated to help you. He rented a car and drove back to Utah and still hasn't been offered a flight even though hes been home for a day.

Is NJ where your parts are? It could be weather or your vendor could have printed the shipping label and not sent it yet to get you off their backs. FedEx has been great in general...in my experience. I have had good success when I have called them too.

The tracking number says they were shipped out of NY and made it to NJ where they have sat. I have ordered a few things lately and they all the in town stuff showed up the next day. I had something sent out of california and it showed up 2 days after they said it would.

I also prefer FedEx unless it fits in a flat rate Priority box, they are usually faster and cheaper than UPS. Weather is something we can't control, and I'm pretty sure that flying out the human cargo takes precedence over goods at the moment.

That's no good :-\

I used Fed-ex for the first time last week and I couldn't believe how helpful they were at pointing me in the right direction. Much better experience than UPS and the Post Office here in Logan.

I hate FED-Ex with a passion. I've never had a package show up to me not damaged using fed-ex. I'll use UPS any day. Also, getting a claim paid with Fed-Ex is damn near impossible, UPS usually has a check in the mail before you've even received your damaged package. It's bad enough that my company (one of, if not the largest shipper in Utah) refuses to do business with Fed-Ex, we only use UPS or USPS for small items (media) and PO Boxes.
