Dont Buy gas on September 3rd!!!!
Boycotting the gas company will decrease the price dramatically. If over half the US didnt buy gas for 1 day, the gas companys would be close to bankrupcy!!! So Lets show them how to lower gas prices. We have to get the word out. Its NATIONAL DONT BUY GAS DAY!!!(just buy gas the day before so you will have no reason to buy gas on this day!!!)

If everybody runs out and buys gas the day before, then the gas companies will have enough extra money flow to hold them over for a day or so. :guilty:

Face it. Crude Oil owns us all... for now.

If we all fill up on the first of sept we can go two or three days w/out filling
up again.

But face it 90% of the people would forget.

doesn't this come around about every 6 months or so??? its not like that day we go without gas is not going to be made up the day befor eor the day after...and its not like people fill up everyday anyways...the only thing at this point that could hurt the oil companies is if everyone starts riding a bike...

EXACTLY

This comes up far to often and never makes any impact. It never will either. If they want to jack the price up to $4.00 a gallon  it doesn't matter, we'll all just have to suck it up and pay it. That's just the sad reality (for now anyhow).

to me they really are pushing their own fate... Sure we are very dependent on the fossil fuels now, but for the past decade or so there have been some amazing advancements in engines that run off of other types of fuels and / or battery.

They are only fueling the desire to find a new resource... IMO. Or maybe I'm just losing my mind paying as much as I am for diesel. :mad2:

Screw having to rely on foreign oil suppliers, I say we tap Alaska for all we can!

I'm sure there's a way we could produce massive amounts of oil from Alaskan drilling sites and still maintain a balance with nature. At the prices we're paying currently, it seems that no expense would be too much to accomplish the task.

Do you realize that Iraqis are paying 5 cents a gallon for their fuel? What if the US could say the same thing? We could tell countries like Iraq, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia to bite us. Also, we wouldn't have to be in Iraq, fighting a war over oil.

Once we were self-reliant and fuel prices had been brought back down, I think the US should start looking into nuclear energy in order to reduce our consumption of oil-based energy. Nuclear power is providing 1/5th of the energy in the states! It's being done and safely! Why not increase that amount and free Americas dependance on foreign oil!!

the main reason I have no real feelings for my old truck...it was getting painful each and every time at the fuel pump...the day I traded it I saw $3.00 even at one station for diesel  (and it was $2.69 for PREMIUM at the same station).

Regular is $2.70-2.80 down here... premium over $3.00. Diesel is $3.20-3.30.

nothing get me going more than this statement...you do realize how LITTLE fossil fuel we get from Iraq right??? you might want to check that out before making that statement... ;)

I agree with the rest of your statement, lets become a little more self-sufficient and quit relying on other countries so much...

Sinclair

If every one started to use sinclaire then we could try to fight them that way at least that is what alot of my fam and friends have been doing
I used to get chevron but stop since I heard that it is not using gas pumped from usa so i switched and I feel that if evry one could do the same it would help but I dont think sinclair is all over the U.S. cuz it is hard to find here. But my dad lives in wyo. and pays 2.60 for desiel and it from lil america wich uses sinclair.
I don't know maby nothin can stop it but I like to feel like I make a diff.

There is one reason we are paying this much for fuel. They can get away with it.

The cost of crude oil production has not gone up, if anything it has come down.
