So I mentioned to my wife today how I had thought about picking up a welder. She said she was going to get me one of fathers day anyway so I should just go get one. Lisa is an amazing wife.
The timing could not have been better since I had just gotten back from triple s steel getting the steel for my front bumper. Needless to say I have been cutting and welding all day. Surprisingly after 16 years since I have welded I am not terrible. I still need some practice but my welds are just fine for a bumper.
I think I spent as much on a welder, supplies and steel as I could have to buy a bumper.
The new toy is a Lincoln Pro MIG 140, I used to be scared of 110 welders but this thing will do great for me. I will put some pics on my build thread tomorrow of my bumper progress.
