Jeep finding what vehicle an ecu came out of???????

I bought a wiring harness for a jeep (think its an xj) and would like to know what it came out of so I can get a wiring diagram so that I can start thinning the cables out to mount a 4.0 in my old cj....

Does anyone know how to find the vehicle by the numbers on the ECU? I will be stopping by the jeep dealership to see if the parts department can help...

A quick Google search says 91 Cherokee or Comanche. 4.0, manual trans. Other than that, I know nothing.
