Finally time to finish the patch of mud and weeds I call a back yard. Does any RMEer know of or do: grading, concrete, sprinklers, or landscaping/SOD? I'd prefer people with tons of experience since this will be a little more complicated than your normal pad and grass install.

I want to install a short but long retaining wall. Would you guys choose concrete or blocks?

Jeff Miller Landscapes. Not the cheapest, but he does things RIGHT. I grew up with him...my folks have had his company do multiple projects at their place.

x2 on Jeff Miller. Worked for him for a number of years. You will get an honest contractor there. Also, as a side note, you may want to consider a rock retaining wall because it will be much cheaper than block or cement, if you can afford to lose ~1' or so of space.

I'll give him a call for sure.

And your right about the block/rock being cheaper. I got a big back for concrete and OUCH!
