I know there is no shortage of wood around the valley right now, but we have a lot of wood from our tree that went down in last weeks storm.

it is being cut into manageable lengths, but anyone wanting to stock up on some firewood come and get it! Will try to post some photos after it is cut.

Brickyard Animal Hospital 1213 E 3300 South.

Also, anyone in the tree business? Will need some more hauled off and the rest the tree evaluated to see if can be saved.

I'm curious for carving. Softwoods (pines) and ring porous (oak and ash) aren't great for carving though. Prime carving wood though are the fruit wood trees, nut trees, maples, and birch. There is a lot in between as well. I scavenged some sycamore and maple last week, but would be happy if I could find more.

Willow is also good for what I'm wanting. I may zip up during lunch tomorrow and pick up what I can get into the back of my cruiser.
