Fireplace code experts please advise

I am installing (or want to) a peninsula style ventless fireplace in my basement game room similar to the one pictured. I have searched for sometime to find Utah code for ventless fireplaces but to no avail. Anyone know the code or rules? Anyone have one? Thanks!!!

I can't help you on the code issues, but I did install a couple in my house. I installed mine for emergency heat, and I think that's the best use of these fireplaces. Keep in mind, they still require ventilation to keep from killing yourself. Also, they will put off a small amount of smoke. Noting you can see while it's burning, but it will leave a smoke residue on items in the room.

The one in the basement I run maybe a dozen times a year, just long enough to take the chill off. The one on the main level is only for emergency use only (white furniture).
