It's Creepy Crawlers, Cody. :)

I want to try the Big Hot Tub with the TJ, looks like it would be fun to charge out of that thing with the hammer down!

I did Mickeys in the old 4Runner and it looked much easier from the top... :ugh: It took everything that 4Runner had to get out, full throttle in 2nd gear to get out. That was after 5-6 attempts. Mickeys in the TJ looks like it could be troublesome... seen to many Wranglers roll in there. :D

How long is your TJ?

My old buggy would crawl mickey's....but it was 107. I thought you stretched your TJ?

If you thought Mickey's was intimidating from the bottom, wait until you're in the big one. It's one of only 2 or 3 obstacles that I would put on my full harnesses for.

The TJ is 104", my 4Runner wouldn't crawl Mickeys at 108", it was close but would break traction right when it started to climb. That could be due to the Swampers, leaf springs or the poor driver... :D

The big one is steep, I see what you're saying but long as you maintain traction I think you'd be good.

I bet your TJ will walk right out of Mickey's. center limiting strap or winch keeping the front end from unloading is key though.

I drove my XJ in/out of Mickey's quite frequently. I've only tried it once with the "YJ", but there was about 2' of water in the bottom with an oily film on top.

I couldn't even get my rear tires out of the water.

I guess its my total lack of experience and the fact I have only seen one person go through the big hot tub, but I look at it like what’s the big deal.

I will have to pull out my video of it but I even think there was about 6 inches of water in the bottom.

And Like I said I am sure it’s my lack of experience. I am not trying to bash anyone

I didn't think it was that steep or big of a wall until I dropped into it. It looks completely different from the bottom.

Is the fear of the hot tub just rolling and damaging your rig. or is it because you go over backwards

Usually just rolling. I suppose going over backward is possible, but a quick reverse keeps that from happening--the problem is when you get turned a little sideways in the process, you back up one of the side walls and dump your head in the water at the bottom.

I always got a little unnerved when there was that level of commitment to an obstacle. Very few rigs can make it look easy, so you pretty much have to attack the wall like it stole your money.

I don't think I ever saw the video fo me going up...so if Carl/Braden/Bart have it or have access to the Got Rocks dudes that have it I would be stoked to see it.

Yes. I've never seen it done with water in the bottom, but I'll give any one credit that gets it done. That's a BIG wall--you don't even understand until you're in the bottom of it looking up.

I have never been in it either, (I will wait till I am fully caged) but Jason fully launched out of it last year with about 2ft of water in it.

he tried it a couple times half assed and didn't get anywhere, then just commited and launched that Sumbich outta there. good show!

Braden in his old YJ coming out of the Big Hot Tub-

Hmmm, wonder where the rest of the vids are? That's the same trip Cody and I are talking about--you can see my buggy parked at the top of the hill right in front of Braden.
