First Time in the hot tub!

After living in Moab and being there for the last 4 EJSs, and doing Hells Revenge countless times, I have never attempted Micky's hot tub. So when we were down the first of the month, I thought that I would give it a try in the buggy. I had two good buddies there, both with winches in case anything went wrong.....:ugh:

Enjoy!

Mickey's is the little one, nearest the top of that one fin you climb up (or down) from the sand to the upper mesa area that contains the 3 hot tubs. It's the smallest, just big enough for one rig in the bottom.

That big one isn't quite as steep I don't think, but it's easily twice as tall--and next to impossible when wet.

The third one is a lot more mild, pretty much anything 4WD shouldn't have much trouble with it.

Are my directions clear as mud? Not much by way of landmarks I can think of BESIDES the hot tubs. :)

The big one is harder for me to climb out of than Mickey's. Good job!

mickey's is pretty easy....that one is a *****.

I've only done that one once, and I tried it when it had water in the bottom and I broke 4 axle shafts, 2 joints, 1 hub, and 1 rear caliper bracket.

****in dana 44's are worthless

You've done it more than once, in that case. You were there with Braden, me, and Bart and climbed out--no water in the bottom. There's video somewhere......

Edit: I think I see what you're saying now. You've DONE it once, not that you haven't ATTEMPTED it more. Gotcha. :)

Carl is correct. As for the naming, there seems to be lots of opinions. I've always referred to the easy one when you first get on top as the Car Wash and have led big groups through there. The big one that Dan is climbing out of (nice job by the way) I've called The Big One for lack of a better name. The last one before you drop down the Dragon's Tail fin is (Shane's avatar) is Mickey's Hot Tub.

Yes. I wasn't very clear. I've tried it twice, once when it was dry and I made it up easier than I thought. Once with water and new Creapy Crawlers and tried to do a front burn to dry my tires off which caused a catastrophic 44splosion. I've never seen it done with water in the bottom, but I'll give any one credit that gets it done. That's a BIG wall--you don't even understand until you're in the bottom of it looking up.
