Flag placement

I got a new 72 hour pack and I got a couple of morale patches for it. Should the U.S. flag go to the left or right? I'm thinking right.

For patches it really doesn't matter, or at least it seems so after a little research. If it were on a shirt it could be on either the left or right sleeve and there are no real rules governing wearing it on a backpack. I would say as long as you don't put another patch above it you are GTG.

I aways put the flag on the right shoulder of a BSA shirt so I would say the right nothing above it as TJ said.
