I have a 1989 ford king pin dana 60, that is DRW and I am going to change it over to SRW hubs, i was looking on EBAY for some used ones. Some people on there are saying you can use an 8 lug f250 or and 8 lug f350 hub that came off a ball joint axle how much of this is true, thanks

I put some on my truck. I got them off a f250 ttb at the junk for around $30. They also have the 9/16" lug nuts. Mine came with the 1/2" but it was out of a 79.

Ttb is the ford ifs. 80s and 90s f250s

newer the better. mid 80's f250 (and f350's before 86ish) had an 8 lug d44 that won't work.

best bet is if you can find a 92-96 f250.

Usually when in a jy you can compare it d44 stuff. if it looks a lot bigger than what is on the 80-96 bronco's and f-150's it should be the right one. Best thing is take some measurements off your DRW stuff, like diameter of stub shaft diameter of lockout for hub. If you have a camera phone you can take pictures of your stuff have it handy on your phone between that and the measurements you took you should be able to find the right stuff.

this discussion reminds me that I need to check my extra d-60 spindle to make sure it is a d-60 not a ttb d50 spindle...

I did not think they put a solid axle in a f250 92 to 96, the ones that I have seen in the yards have that (tween I beem) is the the front end our talking about, thansk.

Twin Traction Beam, or TTB, is the Ford version of IFS. Its that junk that uses the dana 60 outers (at least the hub, rotor, caliper, lockout, and stub.)

If it has the big dana 60 locking hub, then you have the right parts.

I picked up a set for my 60 yesterday. There was at least two ttb50 trucks that I saw. I took the parts off of a truck that had brand new warn premium hubs, new rotors, and pads. Out the door with all that stuff for $30! I love half price day.
