I took my 60 completely apart and put it all back together and just installed it on my toyota. The knuckles seem hard to turn and am wondering if there is a way to make them not so tight or if I put them back together wrong. They are tight enough that my truck doesn't return to center while driving.

Something either isnt seated, or installed correctly, or maybe replacement parts have different clearances and need shimmed.

Could be a possibilty except I don't think I replaced the races. I replaced the bearings in the diff(which I know don't effect this) and the hub bearings but I think the bearings in the knuckles looked good so I just put them back in with the same spring and plastic deally as well. I could be lying on any of this since I built the axle over a year ago and my memeory is a little fuzzy on some of it. I do remember thinking when I put it back together that the knuckles sure were tight. At the time I thought this was a good thing.

Are you using high steer arms that replace the spring setup on the top? I used that type of arm and they were pretty tight. I had to shim things to loosen it up a bit.
