When I ordered my F150 I decided to upgrade the stereo over getting the huge sun roof. I actually had the sun roof option checked and then decided I hated the sun shining through it in the summer and didn't want to deal with it getting stuck or leaking so I unchecked the box and opted for the 14 or 16 speaker surround sound stereo option. It sounded pretty good but I noticed a few weeks ago that one of the speakers was obviously blown so I got online and decided to replace the door speakers with some from Crutchfield.
Here is what the factory speakers looked like from one side to the other. I think on my next truck, I will just plan on taking my truck to a stereo shop when I get it and spend that money on the good stuff. Look at the size of the magnet, one side has a tweeter and the other side has none. Maybe thats the surround sound difference? I just thought it was interesting. The drivers side is the one that had the tweeter.
