Does anyone on here know this guy? I saw him stuck tonight out in a Meadow up in Lake Fork, and he had been stuck for an hour the second time I saw him. I looked up his business on facebook and there was a video of him in the exact came meadow tearing things up... I put a link in off facebook.
This Wanker needs to be locked up and his Jeep needs to be impounded, these are the type of people who get trails and area closed down. If you know him please take him to a tread lightly course, I should call the Utah County Sheriffs department and turn his ass in.

I just cant believe that someone who is trying to make a living off of other off-roaders would be so uninformed and irresponsible. I totally figured I would see a picture of him on Facebook in the middle of Forest Lake, and you would be hard pressed trying to convince me now that the picture doesn't exist somewhere.

Forest Lake has been abused for years. There are those that see it as a way of testing out their junk and there are those that want people to stay out. Unless someone says otherwise, is there any signage around the lake that says "stay out dumbass"? If you are a young, uneducated kid trying to be cool, do you know that you are not suppose to do that?

Just looking for a simple solution to this ongoing problem.

It doesn't matter where signs are, some people are above the law In their own mind. I saw a Cherokee up at forest lake one day parked in the water right behind a sign. It must be one of those Jeep things that I don't understand.

It's kind of weird that in the last 20 years we have gone from not being able to ride an ATV on the streets but we could ride them all over the place in the mountains to not being able to ride them in the mountains but almost anywhere on the streets.

So much truth to this. I hate to say it but this is what I love about singletrack. Right now, there are far fewer idiots capable or willing to ride singletrack into the backcountry to destroy it. Doubletrack is too inviting to uneducated people who thrash our backcountry. The UTV is the newest tool used to get newbs into places that they don't appreciate. I think that is why they get so much hate. It was the same thing with ATV's back in the 80's.

Stupid people don't know they are stupid. They need educated people like us to tell them. Sometimes that means a confrontation, if that happens I just smile and wave. You never know, telling that guy to not ruin it for the rest of us might change his behavior. Calling the sheriff will likely make him think some ass hat tree hugger saw him. I would have stopped and told him to please stop what he was doing and explain why. If he yells at you, at least you tried.

I was hoping someone on here would step up and say they knew who he was, I wouldn't claim him as a friend right now either. I hate to turn someone in because all it does is bring out bad things, but at the same time I want him educated that what he is doing is wrong... I guess I will post something up on his Facebook.

Everyone,

We apologize about not only the video but also for upsetting the community and our actions. This video was taken in Lake Fork, Spanish Fork back in March of this year. At that time we did not see any signs stating that we were not allowed to go through this certain mud pit. We saw tire marks and noticed that other people have done it and wanted to go through it. We are not justifying our actions, but simply had a mistake on our part without knowing that it was not allowed. We went back the other night and that is when whomever saw us in the mud. We are not trying to break rules or laws but didn't see any signs ( they may have been there, we just didn't see any). We feel that this man could have informed us about how it was not allowed but understand at the same time why he did not. We are glad that he and you all brought this to our attention and will never let this happen again. We do not want to break rules or ruin the opportunity for others. We sincerely apologize for our actions and for failure to note that it was illegal.

As for the Forest Lake trail in American Fork canyon, we see the signs and obey them. We do not see us as "law-breakers or benders". We tread lightly in our outings and love to see our fellow 4x4 rigs on these trails. Again we apologize for our actions and for the video. In addition, the picture that was also posted was actually a mudding event that was hosted by Diesel Power Gear in Kaysville. We look for events to go to and that is why most of the time our Jeep is muddy.

While we understand that everyone is upset, we want to say sorry and that it was a mistake. Please let us know how we can help in the future in yalls clean ups and events to help maintain trails.
