front lockers

For what I need, I am not after front lockers, but several of the rigs I have found for sale already have them. I have heard that locked front in snow/ice results in dangerously poor control.
Thoughts?

It just takes a little getting used to. I worked at Alta Ski Lifts for about 10 years. driving Little Cottonwood Canyon 100's of times. There where a few times with over 3 feet of snow on the road. I would have NEVER made it with out lockers front and rear. Just go out in a vacant parking lot and get used to the feel of having it locked. You probably will only need all four once in a great while. My.02

If you are looking for a mostly street driven rig the locker will be a nuisance at times (unless it's selectable) but you adapt to it.

Never had any problems driving on ice or snow with the front locker. I dont have hubs or a slectable locker. You will just need to get use to it.

I almost never need FWD with the rear locker.

I don't know... I never noticed the lunchbox deal in the front of my M725, but it had lockouts too... that thing was all screwed up anyway, I wouldn't have noticed between the sloppy steering, the mud tires, and the locker in the back... LOL
