I cant get rid of my alt belt squeak New belt new alt, allingment is pretty good, but not perfect. Tension is good and tight.
So today I start the jeep up and it chirps a bit. Then goes away, park it then heading home chirpped like 2 time then burnt and broke. So I come home, new belt from napa in tight. Fire it up and chirp/squeal back..
PS pump is not as tight and does not squeak. The alt turns fine and the burnt appeared to be on the water pump pulley and the crank. Why cant I get it to stop? any tips or tricks? I need the jeep done and ready to go tonight since we are heading to Moab.
