Looks like the ol' Lennox hot surface ignitor bit the dust tonight. I would like to buy one tomorrow AM.

It's Model # Norton 271M 41-409

Is Home Depot going to stock this? The web search says probably not.

Will service guys sell parts off their Truck?

Who is open weekends?

Good luck finding something before Monday. I had mine go out a couple years ago and was able to light it manually but it would only go for a cycle doing it the manual way. (Basically I had to go down and light it every time I wanted heat.) Basically to light it manually, I would turn it off then back on when you hear the gas start to flow you light it and then the furnace would run for a cycle.

I had to fix my Lennox a couple of weeks ago. It acted like it couldn't sense the pilot flame most of the time. I cleaned the thermocouple but it still acted up. I couldn't find anywhere that would sell me the control module where the problem was so I took it apart and fixed it. The control modules go through lots of heat cycles which can crack solder joints on the printed circuit board. I took mine out in the bright light with a magnifying glass and found three cold solder joints. Its been working great ever since I fixed the bad solder joints.

I know that Johnstone Supply has an after hours number you can call. I think they charge $75 extra just for the call though.. And they probably wont come in for you with out an account..
I have usually bought that same part for my furnace (thanks to the tenant trying to "clean" the furnace, twice) at Allreds in Midvale.. But then you are waiting till Monday also

Home depot prolly has one in stock.
If not call and I will check my van. 643-0869 Carl

Dang, I wish I saw that sooner.

I got shut down by HomoDepot and Lowes...something like " We are not authorized to sell furnace parts because you might blow yourself up" I might eat fertilizer but they still sell it...whatever, stick to Christmas lights and plants.

I gave Scott Call a ring from Call heating and Air. He came down from Kaysville and sold me one out of his store. 10 minutes later and we are warming up!

Thanks for all the replies!!
