Gas leaking when off road

On one of my Jeeps that has a custom gas tank I have had issues of gas leaking out of the filler spout when the tank is full and the jeep is going up a steep hill. I don't have the experience of ever using one, but I would love to try it on my '48. With my filler sitting so close to the tank under the seat, it leaks quite a bit after filling my tank and then taking it off road.

I used to leak a bit after filling and replaced the gas cap which stopped it. That little device looks pretty cool.
