Finally some good news!

http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/energy/2006-08-29-gas-price-usat_x.htm

Gasoline prices are falling fast and could keep dropping for months.

"The only place they have to go is down," says Fred Rozell, gasoline analyst at the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS). "We'll be closer to $2 than $3 come Thanksgiving."

It's about time, I hate paying over $3/gallon. I do a lot of driving, wishful thinking, I know, but I'd love to see the days of $1.25/gallon back again.

We're paying $2.84 here in Fruita. I saw regular for $2.74 in Grand Junction yesterday. What are you all paying?

I haven't filled up for a few weeks but prices here in 'bama seemed to be pretty much the same as SLC when I drove down here.

Put $86 in the work truck today. Gas at $3.15 (premium) and diesel at $3.49... I hardly drive anywhere if I'm not getting paid to do it. Which is saying something for me, I used to wander around the desert 5 or 6 hours a night 3~5 times a week just because.

Diesel has been in the 3.40 to 3.50 range here for around a month.
Gas at 2.97 for a few months at some stations.

Ya the $3.45 diesel price bites hard. I remember when I bought my truck new(in '99) I could get diesel for $0.89 I could fill it for less than $30...Now I hope for under $130.:ugh:

Look at Flying J site to see what they are charging for diesel accross the country.

Washington and Idaho seem to be the only places in the whole country that are worse than Salt Lake. - Notice St. George is $3.17.
