gas tank cleaning

Swapping a metro tank into my wifes tracker and upon taking the sending unit and pump out to check condition I found inside is quite abit rust scale inside the tank....Question is how does one clean out the inside of a tank to get it out.

Never heard of Kreem but that is some cool product i will have to get some of all the stuff they carry im always dealing with crappy tanks

old school is to put water and pea gravel in it and start shaking..

i have also lined my old motorcycle tanks with kreem. works great

Thank's guy's! may have to try the water and gravel since i'm a cheap bastid...Actually,just lost the auto in my '04 CTD with only 89k :sick:

I've never tried it myself, but electrolysis is supposed to work really well.

the guy in that link for electrolysis said to stay away from Kreem, now im confused on if its good or not
