How do you get glass out on a vehicle with gaskets? Are there special tools? I need to be able to put them back in when I'm done with the body work.
Anybody have tips on the easiest/ best way?

Yes, there are special tools... I even bought them thinking I would do it must self and failed miserably a couple times before I figured out its easier ( and cheaper) to pay someone that knows what they are doing... idk mayby someone else will have a clue on how to do it without breaking them in the process.

safest way is to just cut the gasket and buy new but when they have an insert in the cente of the gasket like on chevrolets you can pull the insert and VERY gently put pressure on the back side and work them out

This is on an 85 toy truck ex cab. The windshield is out, not worried about it. It is the side ex cab windows and rear slider I need to take out so I can cut the top off install cage from donor. Then weld top back on.

You can take a really thin piece of rope and stuff it under the molding on the inside and get the ends pushed through to the outside and then some soapy water and gentle pulls and you can work it out. Had to do my front and rear windows of a 72 Chevy I restored.

just pry the rubber loose around the glass on the body side on the inside of the truck to loosen it up using a plastic pry tool our cotter pin remover tool. after loosen up push on a corner while prying rubber back.
