I don't think I have ever been to the area, and I am really looking to change that. I would love to hear more about the cool things to check out, wheel, etc. Can you see most of it in a day? What type of trails? Thanks! :D

Yeah, no wheeling, but you do really need to go there anyway. It's one of the coolest places in the state to hike around.

Not sure if it still open but the Behind the Reef Road is. We have had several "Trail Hugs" (US-ALL) there of course you were too young then. Even Brett was along. http://www.4x4now.com/trutbr.htm there was more to explore a few years ago before the BLM stared to close the roads down. Glad I got to see it from the window of my Jeep.

I've done that Little Wild Horse area, very cool and worth going into. Easiest access is to go up the south Temple Mountain wash road and peel off to the left to take the behind the reef road. Very well worth exploring. Read the write up that I linked you to before your last swell trip - I describe it fairly well there. There are some area's in that part that will challenge a stock vehicle.

Here's the link again.

Took the kids there two years ago. We ran into it by accident driving along taking the long way home from Moab...WHAT A TRIP THAT WAS!
We spent two days messing off in Goblin and did Lil WildHorse, the four days cutting across SW to St George doing the non-tourist sights that the rangers would clue us into. Goblins was one of the highlights!

LaserTag...at night...in Goblins...THIS YEAR WE'RE GONNA TRY THAT!

Here's a couple pics from that trip.

That's a cool picture Dustin!

But we don't take kindly to out-of-towners exploiting our local secret spots... -_-

Behind the Reef

This is a picture of the behind the Reef trail I have hanging on the wall of my office. My brother and I a few years back. The scenery is unbelievable. This is the hardest part of the trail they call it the cistern. If you hike little wild horse and go to the end of the canyon you will end up on the behind the reef trail. The maze is on the other side of the road from where you take the goblin valley turn off.
