Going rate for '05+ Super Duty axles?

What's the going rate for the newer/better 2005+ Super Duty axles? Is $1200 about fair these days? I know when they were less popular, $500 seemed to be the going price for the older pre-2005 axles.

I picked up a 2008 f350, open 3.73 complete axle from Shaw Auto in Pocatello for $250 2 years ago. The price for a 4.10 or lower jumped was $500-$1200.

I think I'd want a pretty clean axle for $1,200. You can get them on eBay for a lot less, with free shipping. Most of those will need new brake parts and unit bearings.

These guys will sell you everything forward of the radius arm mounts, on a pallet, for $1000.
