What a good clean eas swap for the 2.8L found in 84-86 Jeep Cherokees

F-car (Camaro/Firebird) 3.4L's are bolt-in. The electronics are a little interesting, but from what I've heard/seen, it's a pretty clean swap.

do you know more info on the shortstar swap??? I know they share a bolt pattern with the 60* V6s...

Last I heard (IF you could find one) they are going for 5K or so

There are MANY flavors of the 3.8. The early FI ones out of a Regal or Cutlass would be awesome swaps due to the north-south engine config rather than the oil pan swappage on other required on the east-west FWD cars.

No, that wasn't an OEM option.

The carbureted manifold from the 2.8 will bolt onto the 3.4, so you don't have to go fuel injected. Flexplate is different on some. A lot of people go with the carbureted intake manifold, then swap in the holley projection. 3.4 is the easies way to go, and they are decent llittle motors.
