Anyone know how to update the damn thing? The current imagry is from 2000....

Supposedly its auto updating. How can you tell the pictures are from 2000?

ya it goes online everytime you use it .you can't update the picture when ever you want.it takes awhile to take high rez pictures of the entire earth.some areas could be less then a year old while others are up to 5 .

I thought it was auto-updating also... It's been a few months since I've pulled it up and it looks like they have updated some of it around my house...

Depends on if there are any new satelite photo's of the area you are wanting to look at.

the house I lived in in alaska in 2000 still has my rav4 and bronco parked out front.....lol

Drove it from WY to AK loaded down getting around 35mpg, awsome traction control in the snow and ice, traded it in for about as much as I paid for it 2 yrs later for my old 02' TJ.......

i believe that some areas get photo'ed more often than others. the area where our cabin is hasnt been photographed for years. but the area i live in has been photographed 3 times in the last 10 years. this site is better than google earth in my opinion. http://microsoft.teraserver.com/
