GoPro HD Hero 3

Anyone know if these are worth spending the extra coin on? I've been contemplating a gopro purchase and need to decide if the new one is all hype

From what I've read the new one is pretty sweet! They have 3 different versions of th new one. Read up on them on their website. I think the sweetest new thing is the wifi capability and the ability to run it from your smart phone via wifi. And they are now 33% smaller than the hero2. Either way I don't think you can go wrong with the 2 or 3

I know I'll be more than happy with my Hero 2. By the looks of it though the Hero 3 is looking pretty friggin sweet.

I just purchased a Hero 2 brand new in the box off of ksl to use on our Hawaii trip that I am now in the middle of. I paid $200 for it. I love it. I had no idea about the 3. I've use the 2 for everything from the pool to the beach to the golf course. It's been a super easy way to film our vacation.

It looks like the 3 is going to be real close to the same price points as the 2. But already comes with wifi so you don't have to buy the backpack.

I've been putting off buying a Hero 2 and I'm glad I did! My HD Hero has been great, but the Hero 3 looks like a winner. One thing I'm looking forward to with the Hero 3 is the ability to use the GoPro app on a smart phone and dial in the view of the camera, using your phone as a view finder. The remote control will also be very handy.

Once I pick up the Hero 3, my HD Hero will still get used as a second camera for multiple angles. Now to save my pennies for the Hero 3!

That Black Edition looks incredible. This might just get me to finally bite the bullet and get one.
