GoPro rattle

Hey guys, how do you keep your GoPro cameras from rattling around inside the housing? Everytime I use my GoPro on any trails that are faster than a slow rock crawl the camera is always rattling around a little inside the housing so I never get a smooth video.

Any suggestions?

Mines tight. I haven't had that problem. Is your housing maybe from an older version? Maybe shim it with some business cards?

Mine is a GoPro Hero3 Silver. It's the housing that came with the camera when new.

My 3 silver is tight. The back door has a foam pad to keep pressure on the camera. Is yours missing?

This. I was just looking at mine and without the foam it would definitely rattle.

I doubt it's your camera rattling inside its case, I think it's the clip/mount rattling.

You know that little white thing that came with it that looks like a nose plug? That's designed to fit in the quick clip to keep it from rattling. Give that a try.




If you don't have that, try wedging a small stick in there to take up the slack.

Put a piece of black electrical tape on the top and bottom of the camera....it should stop it.
