Government Shutdown San Juan County?

We have a trip planned next week down by Blanding. Plan on doing Arch Canyon/Hotel Rock, then Beef Basin to Elephant Hill loop, then possibly Horse Canyon.

I assume the Elephant Hill/Needles roads are currently closed (we probably couldn't make the full loop). Does anyone know if this is the case?

Anybody have an idea of Arch Canyon/Hotel Rock areas would be affected by this shutdown?

Thanks
Kirk

Arch Canyon & Hotel Rock aren't part of an National Park, so I think they're not an issue.

I would also assume that Elephant Hill and the road in the NP will be closed, but you could possibly enter Needles the back way.... up Cottonwood Creek, down to Ruin Park and Bobbys Hole Hill, then into Needles.

Gov Herbert struck a deal - the parks will reopen on Saturday morning --

"SALT LAKE CITY — Utah's five national parks will reopen Saturday morning after the state reached an agreement with the Department of the Interior late Thursday to run them for as many as 10 days.
Also set to reopen with Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef and Zion national parks are Cedar Breaks and Natural Bridges national monuments and the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, which includes Lake Powell."
