Grand Slam West 2005

I was kinda waitin to see if someone else was gonna post a report, hasn't happened so I guess I will. I only got to wheel on one day, but it was still a blast!! Before this my ZJ was a Moab virgin, as was I. -_- But not anymore!! I ran Hell's Revenge on saturday, anyone else on the board there??
It was way fun, and my ZJ impressed even me. It has between 8-9" lift, LA's, But othere than that, pretty much stock. I was still able to do pretty much everything. Did the first real steep obstacle, Hell's Gate(comforting watching the TJ roll) Tip-Over-Challenge...Was gonna try Escalator, but didn't want to risk body damage....
Anyways, here's a few pics

man that looks like fun. cant wait till i get to go for the first time too. who's cherokee is that in the third pic?? i like it.

The blue one?? That is a great question, can't remeber his name. His ZJ is awesome, sounds really good too, no way it has a cat! He is a way nice guy and a smart driver, if I remeber his name, I'll post it.
First pic is mine, second is John's, white WJ....FearTheDentist???, Can't remember his name either...bad memory :-\

Yeah it was kind of wierd too. I was supposed to work on Friday and the meet and greet was Thursday night, so I just planned on calling in sick. Turns out I actually got sick Thursday after work, puking and all.....Karma I guess  So I didn't leave until friday night, ran Saturday, drove back Sunday. Oh well though, now I just want to go even more! My bro has an XJ with like 6" lift, a 9" rear with detroit, 4.56's....waiting on gears for the front, When he's done with that we're going, so hopefully within a month or so. And now he wants to move down to Moab, looking for jobs online now, If he gets one, I'll prolly move down there too. Sweet! More chances to break....
Anyways....back to the trip....anyone else got pics from different trails/days???
I know Cody was there....

Glad you had a good time. I don't have any pics, I was too busy getting people through and off of the trails. Hopefully you'll make it down next year too.

Can I get a, WOO WOO, for the Grands. NICE PICS. I can not wait to start FABBING my 6" LA, Seeing those rides just made me jones that much more. I am planning on Hells gate when I head down their again. There was a TJ on its side as well when I was down there last time. So I did not get to try it.
Man those rides looked awesome! How does your ZJ ride down the road?(freeway manners and such?)

I was there Sunday, did Upper Helldorado, and Coyote Canyon, and didn't see a single grand on either trail... :p Saw Cody's ZJ sitting on his trailer with no tow rig in sight.

I think it was smart of you to not attempt the escalator. :)

It handles amazingly well actually! Speedo is WAY off, but on the GPS the top speed on my way down to Moab was about 110MPH
It gets a little shakey over 90-95....at 100+ the hood acts like it wants to rip off....But I can still cruise with just a finger at 85. And that's sittin on 7" springs with 2" isolators...Very cool....
Good luck with fabbing your 6" LA!!!

I left Sunday, along with most people. I know they(whoever was left) were only running 2 trails, not sure which.
Yeah, that's my DD, so the escalator was a bit intimidating(sp)....I REALLY wanted to though, after seeing a buggy and a YJ walk up it, and the ZJ that tried didn't do to bad....I'll try it sometime soon, when I have a different DD. :p
