One reality about Global Warming is it will be welcomed after severe global cooling. NASA has said the sun has gone silent; meaning there has been no solar flare activity for like 7 mos (that's not good). Life on earth is dependent upon this activity because this solar radiation whips by our ozone layer (solar wind) and deflects cosmic rays away from Earth. No solar wind, we get bombarded from other stellar rays. These particles crystalize in the atmosphere and form clouds (anyone notice all the rain on the news?) and clouds block sunlight.
So technically speaking, the G8 leaders armed with their pseudo-science actually is making a bad situation (an ice age is coming) much worse.

I don't understand all the "Save the planet" crap...the planet will be just fine...the human race will suffer but I personally don't care. I'll be long dead before this global warming keeps people from going to the McDonalds drive through.

I suppose that is the real problem...nobody cares becacuse they know it wont affect them in their lifetimes much. I really couldn't care less if the human race died off...according to the tree huggers the planet would be better off without humanity so why do they try so hard to keep humanity alive??
