Guns and Ammo

Perhaps he had other things on his mind, perhaps the Presidency? ;) He still put the plan together and has a record of pushing it.

It's still a decade ago. I don't think that he had it in mind that he'd running for Pres back in '99 ;)

And just a nice thing for those worried about a ban......here's a Post-Ban weapon.

Not much difference, other than it came with a 10 round magazine.

What did you like doing 10 yrs ago, wheelin', exploring & camping with your Cherokee? What's changed? How about Obama? 10 yrs doesn't mean much when you have a history... :)

... Even if we still can get stuff, the prices are going to be insane. They are already going up. Guns might be a good investment at the very least.

Buy it cheap(er), now and sell it when it's high(right before the ban)! I've done that on every California ban over the last 20 years, and it's paid for the ones I've wanted to keep.

I would start with the high caliber stuff, like .50 Cal rifles. That was a big deal when the Governator banned their sales in CA. Then move to higher profile "black gun"/assault rifle investments. Those were big a couple of times in CA. Doubled my money. Don't forget about high capacity mags.... those were huge when CA went to 10 round mags!!! Double and tripled my investment.

You might think I'm paranoid but I live in CA and I wouldn't be to specific about type and quantity on this site because big brother does check from time to time.

Just my $.02

Thankfully I have not but if the situation did arise and I was not prepared (or allowed to carry my gun) and an innocent person died I could not take that.

How many times has a seat belt saved the average person's life? And how fast can you buckle it up when you see that you are going to need it?

Absolutely none of the ammo I have bought in bulk will ever be used in a personal carry or home defense weapon. I'm buying it because ammo prices have historically risen and with a potential gun ban rumored surplus is selling fast. They are not going to keep finding more surplus ammo, once its sold, its sold. Manufactures can't even make ammo for the prices I've paid for some surplus, obvious right, its 30 yrs old. Again, its a finite supply and I like to target shoot.

No. The point being, you don't need it until you need it, and when you need it you'd better already have it. ;)

BUT ....my question was, who here has had to use a gun to save a life?

might, oughta, coulda, shoulda, woulda, and having a gunrack doesn't count-_-

Gotta love a good shelf life ;)

It's tedious but clear nail polish over the primer will prevent moisture from ruining your ammo. Especially, for long term storage.
