Had better luck in Wyoming

Well, although I struck out in Utah (had put in for limited entry deer, general deer and moose and came up empty on all three), had much better luck in Wyoming.

Successful draws for doe antelope (Mountain View/Lone Tree area) and buck deer (Area G, Gray's River area).

Now I am hoping not to be successful on Utah doe antelope (I was out of the country for two weeks, and when found out about Wyoming success it was too late to withdraw Utah anterless applications.)

How many points did you have for the buck tag? I have been buying points in Wyoming for 8 years now just waiting to put in for something good.

Zero.

First time I have put in for anything in WY except doe antelope. My cousin who spends way too much time studying odds of drawing in different units (he created the PointHunter App https://www.gotmytag.com/ had told me he figured that unit would take about 4 points.

Should be a good hunt...I hope.

There are no animals or fish in Wyoming. There are also no good trails, no good camping, no mountains, or cool deserts. Utah got all the good stuff. Might as well just stay there.... ;)

I saw a good sized buck on Grey's River Road on Friday, in velvet of course... looked like he'd make for a good score come Fall! Beautiful area, I can imagine that hunting up there would be pretty amazing.
