Hand gun questions

How about a hunting license? Hunters safety card? Wouldn't they show intent to follow the law?

If I am carrying a gun you'll see it. I'm not interested in a concealing a weapon why should I have a permit? I'm against having a permit to own a gun. The last pistol I bought I handed the guy the cash, he gave me a bill of sale and a hand shake and I was out the door.

You're missing the point. CCW permit holders have to pass multiple background checks before being licensed to carry a concealed weapon ergo an individual buying your gun, who shows a CCW permit, can be reasonably construed to be: a law-abiding person without serious crimes in their background. One could rest assured that they will not be running afoul of any state laws in selling a CCW permit holder a gun. That is, they're not felons, ostensibly not mentally ill, etc. I am not sure the same can be said of someone with a hunting permit. Maybe the burden is just as high to get one.

Nowhere did I say that I love permits, on the other hand I don't think they're all that unreasonable. When the sh*t hits the fan, laws like that won't matter one bit anyway.

I totally agree. But it doesn't matter how illegal something is, if someone wants it they will get it(burner). It would seem like the only people that don't like the laws are the ones that is stops from purchasing a firearm
