Looks like we will be staying home this Labor Day weekend, so looking to scare up a wheelin trip to the Hanging Tree Trail this Saturday. If anyone is interested post up and lets go wheeling.:p
 
My buggy is not running very good right now or I would come. Maybe if I get time friday after work I could mess with it, so maybe. Check with CSR, he might want to go.

It was running good last time we were out, so what did you do to it? Your just hard on it.....:rofl:

The plan is for COCO to take the new jeep out if his tow rig is up and running.
 
mitch if you really want to go you can come grab my trailer its not super nice but pulls good and works good. im just in layton to not far from cheston
 
Well doesn't look like anyone is going but our group, but if anyone decides to come at the last minute, we are planning on meeting at the Maverik in Ephraim at 10:00 am.
 
I'm really tempted to join you guys. Do you think I could complete the trail without major body damage? Toyota pickup, 122" WB, lockers front and rear, dual cases, 35s.

I'd love to see some videos of the trail, but all I can find on youtube is the final waterfall. Anyone have any videos of this trail?

steve you would make it but with no body damage thats another thing some very tight spots with large boulders, we took a wrangler on 35s up it, it did well but did end up with some damage.
 
You would be able to do the trail fine but as of body damage their is no promises. I would almost bet that you would hit your rockers and quarter panels. There is some tight areas in there for longer wheel based rigs.

how long is the trail? It doesn't look worse than constrictor (minus eagle's nest). How long is the trail? Is it an out and back, where you come down the same trail you come up? How long does it take to complete the trail? Is there much sidehilling or risk of rollover?

I was trying to head that way, but have a few maint. issues on my pile of "Jeep". New CV for the rear driveline and an oil leak issue (looks like it's from the sender?).

Take lots of pics :D

Aww I was hoping to wheel with you again mark! Try to make it! Lol
 
No problem, I have sliders too and ended up putting a nice dent in my passenger rear door above the slider. It could have been prevented but you never know. I tried to go around a huge rock instead of going over it.
