It's nothing special...but the most I could afford for now.
It's a Canon EFS 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS telephoto lense.

Now all I need is a fish eye lense and a macro lense and my playtime gets even BETTER!

That's a good lens, you should have fun with it. Macro photography is a blast, I'd start looking for a 100mm F2.8 macro on ksl. I have used my 100mm macro for lots of portrait work before I purchased my L series lenses.

Thanks, I guess you could say that. Photography has been my only income for the last couple of years. I guess it's a pretty good job having beautiful ladies pay me hundreds of dollars to take half naked pictures of them

(Most of my work involves Children and Families)

Yea I LOVE looking at you're photography...so starting a photo thread would be awesome!!
Next friday my friend and I are going to head around downtown and see if we can come up with some cool HDR shots with all the lights going on.
I never take photos at night come to think of it...its about time I learn how. lol. I dont ever want to be a professional, its just somthing really fun for me. I think the area that appeals to me most about photography is HDR so that will be what I try to become a bad ass at....try....

Here are few TOTALLY BEGINNER ,sucky, HDR shots I did in the past few weeks. I use photomatix to create the HDR image but then use CS4 and layer masks to help it a long a little, among a few other small edits.

You do HDR right? So here is my question...I can set my camera up for AEB at three different exposures....what kind of camera will I have to end up with to do the 5 different exposures?

I totally just hikjacked my own thread....

I have played around with HDR, but I'm certainly not great at it yet. When I started playing with it I really liked the over processed images- wicked clouds etc. Kind of a comic book look to them. I still like that look but I've been trying to keep them a little more realistic looking. (not always though)

My 1DMarkIII will do up to 7 exposures, but my 40d will only do 3. I'm not sure about other cameras. (I have read that certain Nikon cameras will do 9 exposures)

Thanks, my Camera only does 3...GAH....see what happens when I get greedy! lol.

Gonna have to wait until I know my camera inside and out before I start dreaming for a better base....like the 1DMarkIII !! HAHAHA jk.
