I am looking for some spots that would be fun for a built rock buggy. I know about little moab and the snakes. I am from davis county so don't tell me the "B" or farmington canyon looking for a little harder wheeling. I am fairly new to this board and have searched for trails. There is the Price trails Jugdement day etc., Delta cat canyon Trails are they worth the drive how hard are they. Are there any other than Moab, Cedar City, stuff maybe a little closer, or fun spots to play around near the salt lake valley?

Thanks

Close is relative. Price is close and has a few hard trails. Delta is close, but the trails are farther from town than the ones around Price. Cat Canyon is fun but not super-hardcore. Chainsaw ditto. Desert Mountain is a fun play area. I don't know if Sawmill still exists, New Helldorado is fun, and I haven't been on the new one. (Buggy Blvd, IIRC?)

Other than those, the next closest spots I know of are Moab, Cedar City, St. George....

a little off topic, but does anyone know anything about Killer Kane in moab?

Thanks Carl for the info.

Is Desert mountain, sawmill, New Hellorado, and buggy blvd all in Delta?

Yep, they're all Delta-ish. Desert Mountain is more North, toward Little Sahara. New Helldorado/Buggy Blvd are kinda around Topaz Mountain, and the rest are more West-ish from town.

I did that quite a few years ago, I don't know if it's still open or what. It wasn't as challenging as it was scary, since you're hanging right on the side of a cliff the whole time, and there are washouts every so often. (meaning off-camber toward the cliff....)

Pretty fun though, not too far from town--just past Cliffhanger a ways.

Where is Big Moab? Is it Moab itself or is it by little moab if so what is it like?

Just all the many trails around Moab.

Providence Canyon is in Logan.

Been there, back in tha day. Did it with a YJ w/33s and an open front end. Like Carl said, kinda scary from the exposure. We almost pitched a CJ over a cliff after dark. Felt hard-core back in the day. It was the trail that convinced me to get a front locker. I could find it, if ya want to go. It was also called Minesweeper way back then.

/A couple of poser's but the first one both fronts ARE off the ground.
anyways I don't no if it's buggy worthy, but the quarry as far as I know is drive any where you want, almost. If I'm wrong please correct me.
I'm locked F & R W/ 35's and cant make it where others have.(@ the quarry.)
The canyon itself is a piece O cake, But really fun stock.

Also That blazer is the one in my av.
It's also for sale, in vehicles for sale.
Now w/35's & welded front & rear.
Makes a great clothes line

Yes the quary up providence is open to drive anywhere you want. And there is plenty there to challenge any vehicle including buggys.

Price has the 2 5 rated trails with Judgment day being the worst but short, and the next hardest is Pinnacle, much longer with more obstacles including one that has not been done for several years now but it is not as condensed as Judgment. Then there are several 3+ to 4+ trails down here and we are working on more. I just got out of a meeting with Carbon County about adding 40+ acres to the King 4X4 Park. When we get that land we can build till our harts content.

That is Great, good to hear about more places to wheel.
I think I will stop and run those trails next trip to moab.
So they are harder than delta trails?
