It amazes me what some people decide to do with there money. Lets see, help out humanity in some way or build some expensive weird ass structures in the middle of nowhere, right before I die. Lets build some structures I guess. May be cool for some, me, not so much.

I love it, but then again I make a habit of traveling to sites like that. Sun Tunnels, Tree of Life (just read a book on its creation), the Spiral Jetty and others all intrigue me and while I'm not a huge art aficionado I have a much higher affinity to geo-art than any others.

The first thing I thought of when I saw this was, " I bet Kurt will like this".

I think it's cool. I'm a huge fan of fibonnacci, so it's cool to see it in real life. I love the idea of outdoor art exhibits that are free. I can't wait to see it in person.

Took me a second to see the Fibonacci series in there. Don't really see how anyone can be a huge fan of Fibonacci but ok.

Like a tree we all know out by Wendover. LOL

Not allowing his blindness to take away his love for art. He has seen it in his mind as a mathematical image. He wants to share that image with us that cant see it like he does. Nine more to follow.

Art is truly in the eye/mind of the beholder.

alright? If he is blind, why not do something like the "car graveyard" and stuff like that. old car art intrigues me more than most. I do like being creative myself, and love doing things different, and being unique when I can, which this is definately unique, but just not my taste. My opinion may change when I see it in real life tho :D I assume you can see it on the way to Moab? It says its in green river, but not an exact location.

we're all assuming he was born blind. The article just said he's 88 and blind. Maybe he loved art before he went blind and he appreciates it more now. Who knows.

Either way, I wouldn't answer an email from a lawyer pretending to have an unlimited budget to build random sculptures. That'd go straight to the spam box along with nigerian kings offering me part of their inheritance. I'm surprised anyone replied to the email.

I think it's cool that each piece of art will be mathematic and scientific in nature. I look forward to watching the progress each time I go to Moab.
