Welcome to the board Justin! I wheeled a 98 Disco 1 for a long time with 33's and no lockers... they are great rigs for general four wheeling! Snakes trails and "5 mile pass ohv area" in general is a really awesome/close place to just explore. There are plenty of bypasses on Rattle snake, I would not try Constrictor or Sidewinder in you rig though. however in that immediate area is year and years worth of off-road exploring for traditionally built SUV's and 4x4's. If you go there on the weekend, just relax and cruise around watching rigs built similar to yours and you get the hang of it.
Also, many of us on this forum love to go drive on the trails up American Fork Canyon when it opens. You typically stage at Tibble Fork Resevoir and head out on gravel their to explore the many trails.
There is also lots of exploring out at "little moab" its on the west side of UT lake about 30 miles south of Saratoga springs... there is even a backroad that goes to and from 5 mile pass and one that dumps ya out in the direction of Tooele.
If you like distance overland travel, I've driven from Delta UT to 5-mile pass on the pony express trail and there's lots of cool stuff in the west desert to explore.
I personally love to drive South Skyline drive all the way from the Northers sections starting at spanish for canyon (US-6) and the trails run South almost to I-70... There are canyons going up to all those trails from fairview, ephraim, manti & mayfield... tons of trails and lots of maps for the area!
"snakes trails" will make you wanna try harder obstacles cause there everywhere on the main trail, but just keep your pride and build your experience level a little before getting into the big rocks. I carry the mentality that when you keep your vehicle out on the trail often and explore lots of areas/trails/obstacles (ie. keeping your tires rollin) you have a lot more fun that flogging on your vehicle for 5 feet in the extreme stuff then breaking it. Also.... there are literately hundreds of thousands of miles to explore in Utah that can be accessible in a traditional 4x4/SUV/Offroad vehicle and about 0.5% of those are really "extreme", soooo get out and enjoy what you can with what ya got and don't stress over it.
