Hells Revenge, can I do it?

I'm making plans to head out to Moab this fall. I will be camping near Slickrock trail. I will be biking and want to do fins n' things, I love the trail. I also wanted to do Hells Revenge. I will be in a Scrambler, locked and on 35's.

Should I forget Hell's? do the "tip-toe" version?

I am not interested in major breakage or body damage.

I've wheeled for years but my group in similar built vehicles aren't as experienced, should that deter me from running it?

What are some other alternates recommended if so?

Thanks

You'll be totally fine on Hell's, no problem what-so-ever. The first big climbs can be scary because they are steep and a little off-kilter, but you'll never slip a tire. Do it, it's a great trail. Even tip-over challenge seems crazy but it's a cake walk.

Go for it, you'll be fine. Other than the big tubs and escaltor, there isn't much on HR that will inflict body damage. We took Jenn's LJ there when it was stock and had a blast!

Also had a totally stock Tacoma on it, your CJ8 should be fine. You may scrape a bumper here and there, but being on 35's you'll probably be fine.

Yep, have a blast. Did it in a mostly stock XJ with 31s, open. Even did Hell's Gate with it. You can do the Car Wash hot tub easily, but I'd stay out of Mickey's and the big one.

and if you get intemidated there is fins n things just down the road after a few turns thats pretty good little trail to get warmed up on and get a feal for the slick rock, if anything I reccomend it first! and to get the gitters up do the Baby Lion's Back after the first turn past the ranger booth. fun little climb and on the back part of it on the sides is a few like 20' climbs that are kinda big.

a scrambler on 35's locked front and rear.....stay off Hells Revenge and go do something real fun....Rusty Nail, Green Day, Minor Threat, Lockjaw, Golden Spike, Metalmasher, Moab Rim, Cliffhanger, the Pickle, Mashed Potato, Pritchett for sure, I could go on....Hells Revenge is fun I was just kidding go ahead and hit it, but I bet you would like those others a lot more. We always like to take newbies to Moab (stockers) on Hells Revenge they go right up everything and have a great time, thats about the only time we ever hit it.

35's with lockers, you should be able to do any of the trails in the Moab Map book or any of the original EJS registered trails with ease including fins and hells revenge, you may have to go around a couple of optional ops, I ran a lifted and opened f150 on all those trails for years without any trouble.

You should be fine, I did all of Hell's Revenge in my Liberty a few years ago. It was a pretty cool little rig and the little diesel just chugged right along on the steep hills.

Yep. I have led newbies in rentals several times and have had a ball.
You may have to hop out and spot them a couple of times, but should make good time.
Mid week we have done Fins, HR and Fins again!
