We started off at the Branding Iron Restaurant with a med drizzle so only about 15 vehicles showed up.. mostly CJ-7's but there was 3 cherokees, a cj3a and a cj-6 not to mention the new tj unlimited. The trail leader was Jake Jacobson and his wife both from Tooele and the rear gunner was I think his father and mother... we started up baby lions back and got about a mile into it when the rain decided to stop and every now and again the sun would come out... there was puddles everywhere to play in!!! We made all the climbs pretty easily and was at the overlook by 10:30 so a could of the built up jeeps decided to do Hell's gate to kill some time... they did pretty good and had very little trouble at it.... but then along came a cj3a with a 4 cyl cummins deisel that made it look like anyone could do it... the driver was a young 16 yr old with his pals!

After that we continued on to what is called the Car Wash where actionshots had a photographer that took everyones pictures as they went down in and back up the other side... no problems there... once we came out we all stopped right there next to Mikes hot tub... of course seeing it was flooded down at the bottom no one decided to try it, we had lunch....

After lunch we started out and went down dragons tail where once again actionshots had their photog and got pictures of everyone coming over the hill... from there we stopped at tip over challenge!

When we got to tip over challenge it was dry and partly sunny... but after you climbed the first ledge there was a puddle there that everyone hit... we got about 6-7 vehicles over it (all had front and rear lockers) when one of the TJ's witha open front tried it... he actually made it! Then it was my turn with my CJ-7 with and open front... I made the first ledge fine... got about 6 feet up and my tires were just a spinning and the jeep was a bouncing... so I backed it down and tried again and again... finally after about the 6th try it started snowing and heavy raining... Jake said it was not going to happen due to it was just way too slick so I backed it down and took the alternate route... bumber...

The rest of the route was pretty much nothing to speak of except the one cherokee got hung up on some rocks on a steep climb and had to back down and make another run at it... it was pretty exciting to watch!

We were back on the hardtop by 2 pm.... My son took plenty of video's and pictures of everything that I will work on getting on a website real soon for everyone to look at...

Was this a RR4W group? We ran Hell's Revenge Saturday with RR4W and they made anyone who wanted to do Hell's Gate, Escalator, or Mickey's Hot Tub break away from the group. Two of our group broke off to do those two obstacles.

Yes it was a RR4W group run but we were moving thru things so fast that they stopped and let anyone that wanted to do those except the escaltor they didn't want us doing that one... but we were given the chance to do both the hot tubs and hells gate if we wanted to.

We did spend awhile on tip over challenge.

That's gay. How many were in your group? We had 18, and we cruised through everything too. The leader wanted to stop and have lunch at 11:00. We spent a while at Tip Over Challenge too, mostly talking though. The leader told us what the best line was, then we watched a little Yamaha four wheel drive golf cart go flying up it to see if he'd crash. Then the leader showed us by example what line to take, then all but three went up it. We were done with the trail around 2:00. I wish we could've watched people go through the hottubs.
