I am putting a toyota solid axle in my suzuki. I was wondering if there is another way to set up the steering other than the high steer arms. Can I just go I steering setup like on my suzuki or is high steer the only way to go?

Thanks for your help.

You could do standard Cross-over steering and you have a couple options there.

-You can buy a Crossover Arm ($$$$).

-You could build your own Cross-over Arm using stock 2 Toy Steering Arms, a Brace and alot of Welding... but I wouldn't recommend it.

I'd just spring for the High Steer, it's somewhat expensive, though... Steering isn't something you want to do cheaply, weather your are Trail only or you do use it on the street. (The prices on High Steer kits have dropped nearly in 1/2 since kits were first introduced.)

cheep is the key? Well I don't know zuk's but all solid axled toys came FACTORY with push pull steering. The draglink runs backwards with the frame. Look at some stocker. I don't know if that is how it works on zuks, but it is a ball on the sterring box, and a ball on the steering arm. It ain't the best for lifted rigs. You can get a drop draglink cheep from x-over guys. That gets you by for a while. But if it gets all flexy, you risk bending and or beaking the draglink and or stock arms. But it may get you by for a while. Just stick your head under and old solid axle truck that is basically stock or not x'd over.
