Help Identifying Part

Found this in my closet, I think its a tranny case, but Ive no clue to what. The only markings it has on it is 6082 which I believe is the metal itself.

I want to sell this, but dunno what its for. Please help. Thanks

Measure the sucker, that'll help. Or post a picture of a tape measure stretched across it, or across bolt holes, or something.

Nope, not a AMC cover! The bolt at the top and bottom says its either a dana 35c ( but may not be oval enough) or looks a LOT like a ford 8.8 cover. I love the drain plug in it though!

AMC 20's are round... and if it's too big for a 35, then it must be for a 10bolt.

People with 10bolts like to make them shiny for some reason, so the theory fits.

EDIT: Cody, one of us should buy that in case of head injury== would make kind of a bitchen replacement dome, no?
