Might've been ever so slightly sluggish, but then again I was babying it and was highly frustrated. But if it was, it was only minorly sluggish. Thanks for the offer! I might have to find the time... ugh, time....

To try somthing out you could get a plastic garbage bag and wrap it around the distributer and the cap and rotor then go back through the car wash. If it does it again, look somewhere else, if it works fine, thats where your problem lies...
I would suggest this as well.

Em,
Another possibility is that the trail repair we did in Moab on the wires your rear trac bar cut are not making good connection. The car wash could have shaken them up a bit and possibly cut power to the fuel pump. We need to re-do the quick fix we did on the trail and solder up the wires.

That would make sense, didn't you say it ended up cutting the fuel pump wire because the bumpstops were a bit too short?

If you got some water in there it could be causing it to short again.....

If thats the case you should go get some of those shrink wrap butt connectors..its basically a butt connector kindof like the crimp one, but you just heat it up, melt the little solder in the middle and shrink wrap the wires. I love those little buggers.....btw thanks for the coils dave, looks like they should work great!

yep, I would suggest the shrink wrap butt connectors. Just soldering it (on an offroad rig) can actually cause the wires to become brittle and crack if not done properly. The shrink wrap connectors give it protection and some of the nicer ones have solder inside them too. I have yet to have problems with a butt connection (on our boats or on a vehicle).

Well I guess it sounds like we have some work to do now that Uncle Dave is back. :D Whew! Thought I'd never make it through the week! ;) So where would I be able to find these shrink-wrap butt connectors?

Might not hurt to change that dist cap and rotor. Maybe look at the plug wires and check to see if they're still up to par.

yeah, but the connectors are done in ranges, if you go with the blue ones (10-12 gauge I believe) you should be good to go...most automotive wiring is between 10-16 gauge anyways. the ones from Del City are probably the nicest but they do have a minumum order of $25.

As far as your plugs go, I dont know what the reccomended interval is, I usually end up doing mine cause I am bored so I usually do mine around 7,500-10,000 miles.
