Hello im new as you can tell im just a young kid that is totally in love with trucks and making them do things stock ones cant do. I drive a 2001 2wd ford ranger right now but am talking to a friend of mine into selling me her 1987 suzuki samurai, or trying to find a 82-86 toyota cant decide. could someone help me figure out which one would be better and a few ideas for it? thank you

Hey Pat, welcome. How much are you looking to spend, and what is your intended use?

I personally would try to find an 85 Toyota with a solid front axle and fuel injection and go from there.

V-dawg nice to meet you, right now im not looking to spend all that much but this summer i found a GREAT paying job so then prolly a lil more. i have looked at 82-87 toyotas i love them, its just that a friend of mine is getting rid of the suzuki and its real cheap but i like the longer wheelbase of the toyotas. i think i would use it more as a mudding truck, seeing as there arent to many rock formations around, but next year im going to school at wyotech in blairsville, PA there are some nice place to rock around there so prolly a little of both.

I think the samurai is they way to go I got mine when I turned 16 and now im 18 and I have two samurai and three of my freinds have them, we need more people to go wheel with.
